Leader in ESG & Sustainability Technology Aims to Bring Greater Awareness, Collaboration, and Impact To Address Climate Change, Biodiversity Loss, Social Inequalities, and More

OTTAWA, ONTARIO, CANADA – November 17, 2022 – FigBytes, creators of the leading environmental, social, governance (ESG) Insight Platform for strategy, data, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, today announced the launch of its podcast, The Sustainable Leading Edge, available on Spotify, YouTube, and Apple. The podcast invites business, sustainability, civil society, and public sector leaders to share their vision, experience, perspectives and concrete approaches on the leading edge of sustainability with the intention to inspire and accelerate powerful collective action and positive impact across the world.

As we face major global challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, social inequalities, and more, there is growing awareness that business must do more than incrementally improve its sustainability performance. New business and consumption models, ground-breaking products and services, policies, financing mechanisms, and innovative partnerships are among the many topics this podcast will explore as the world works towards a net positive, regenerative, inclusive economy.

“Unprecedented collaborative efforts across all sectors are required to successfully transition to a more sustainable future,” explains FigBytes Head of Sustainability and podcast host, Kate Cacciatore. “The challenges we face can feel overwhelming, and yet we know that the solutions are out there and people all over the world are actively contributing to making them a reality. We created this podcast as a way of exploring and inspiring the mindset shift, the personal & collective leadership and the concrete actions that it will take to make this transition successfully.”

Over her career, Kate has held many senior positions as a sustainability professional leading the implementation of sustainability strategies in complex multinational settings. Kate has also served on numerous boards including the UN Global Compact Swiss Network and the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (now the Responsible Business Alliance). In her role at FigBytes, Kate focuses on supporting and strengthening the ways in which FigBytes can enable organizations to successfully design and implement their sustainability strategies and achieve greater positive impact, while also contributing as a company to transformational, systemic change in the wider business and societal landscape through thought leadership, collaborative partnerships, innovative product strategy and internal and external stakeholder engagement.

“At FigBytes we believe in ‘Connecting Data with Purpose’, and we feel that one of the most powerful ways to accelerate positive change is to create the conditions for people to make the connection between their personal sense of purpose and the purpose of the organizations they work for,” continued Cacciatore. “Our hope is that the stories people will hear in this podcast will inspire and encourage them to make this connection, to know that they are not alone and to feel good about the tangible contributions we can each make in our own unique ways.”
