Limerick-based AMCS acquires Canadian sustainability platform

Jimmy Martin, chief executive of AMCS.

Limerick-based software firm AMCS has announced that it has acquired sustainability platform FigBytes for an undisclosed amount.

AMCS provides cloud-based software and vehicle technology for the environmental, utilities, waste, recycling, and resource industries.

Canada-based FigBytes’ software platform allows customers to track and report on their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) targets in areas such as carbon accounting, climate action, water impacts, and supply chain activity. The company has a strong presence in North America.

Jimmy Martin, chief executive of AMCS, said this acquisition underscores the company’s goal to provide “environmental software solutions that help clients across the globe accelerate their growth and sustainability”.

“Our mission is to create an environmentally sustainable future for our clients and their families, and we are excited to have FigBytes join us in these efforts,” he said.

Ted Dhillon, chief executive of FigBytes, said the combination of their company’s sustainability platform and AMCS software “provides organisations with a unique, compelling offering and one of the clearest digital pathways to a more sustainable future”.

AMCS has more than 4,000 customers worldwide.

This is the second strategic acquisition for AMCS in the ESG space, following the acquisition of German firm Quentic in June 2022.

AMCS is headquartered in Limerick, Ireland with offices in North America, Europe, and Australia.
